The biggest fight of the year will not happen in the boxing ring, but actually in the political arena. Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton is the most hyped election in history and it has transcended the news channels to cross into the boxing world with many people involved in the sport sharing their views on who they believe will win this election.
In the third and final part in my interview with Floyd Mayweather Sr, I get his thoughts on a super fight between Gennady Golovkin and Andre Ward. Senior also talks about his stable of fighters and what fans can expect from them in the future. Additionally Mayweather gives his views on this years political election and who he thinks will win the presidency. Here is what Floyd Mayweather Sr had to say.
Jenna J: A lot of people have wanted to see Andre Ward vs. Gennady Golovkin. If that fight ends up happening in the future, how do you see it playing out?
Floyd Mayweather Sr: Ward vs. ‘Triple G’, I see Ward beating the hell out of him. That’s not even a contest with those two. All he does is smother you, that’s all he do (Golovkin). He throws wild punches, he’s not a good fighter. The look is a good look for Ward. Anything he throws, Ward should be able to block and counter.
Jenna J: Do you see that fight going the distance or do you do you think Ward would stop the smaller man?
Floyd Mayweather Sr: Well, you say small, but Golovkin’s fighting at 160 isn’t he?
Jenna J: Correct, yes.
Floyd Mayweather Sr: That ain’t no big deal with Ward. Ward aint really no more than 160 pounds either. He ain’t that much bigger than him. Ward’s gonna make that man want to get out of the ring real fast, very early. Like the same thing I was telling the people about Kell Brook, with Golovkin, I was telling them that Golovkin was gonna win because, I told them that Kell Brook will probably win the early rounds, but hey, later on down the stretch I said that ‘Triple G’ was gonna smother him and make Kell Brook quit.
Jenna J: Floyd. You as a trainer, you trained a lot of guys, you worked with a lot of young guys. I know you work with the cruiserweight, ‘The Beast’ Tabiti. Can you talk about some of the young guys you’re working with, some of the fighters?
Floyd Mayweather Sr: Well, I ain’t gonna talk about Tabiti no more, I don’t know where Tabiti is at. I haven’t seen him for about at least two or three weeks, so I don’t know where Tabiti’s at, and that’s on him if he wants to choose to go someplace else, that’s on him. It ain’t on me, that’s on him. I just do my thing so, I’ve gotta do what I’m gonna do with him, or without him.
Jenna J: So, who are some of the other guys you’re working with?
Floyd Mayweather Sr: Well, you know I got some guys in there. I got a lot of boys coming in and I’m training a lot of boys now. The guy that is Floyd’s cousin, Tabiti and a few others. I guess that he’s saying that “Oh Floyd will never be there or this and that” no I’ll be there. I’ll be there, he don’t be there. But the whole thing is, I don’t give a damn anyway, because I can do this or I don’t have to do it.
It don’t make any difference with me, you know. Its real. So I’m just telling you that right now, I’ve got guys coming in right now and this other guys getting me guys right now, he’s bringing them in from out of town. I train different guys all the time.
Jenna J: Floyd, there’s one question the fans actually wanted me to ask you. This November, there’s a fight that’s not happening in the boxing ring but politically. Clinton vs Trump. I’m just curious what you make of that and who are you picking?
Floyd Mayweather Sr: Ain’t no way in the world that I’d pick Donald Trump!
Jenna J: Why not?
Floyd Mayweather Sr: Well, he’s a liar, he’s a liar and a thief. The guy is not for us, well he might be for his people but he’s not for my people though. I’m just telling you the truth.
Jenna J: Alright, alright. Who do you thinks gonna win though, overall? Who do you think the people are gonna chose?
Floyd Mayweather Sr: I’ll tell you one thing, even what the white people think. They had better try and go with Hillary so that they can get good jobs and be able to pay for the kids and stuff, but it’s not gonna happen with Donald Trump, its not gonna happen. Donald Trump is through, I’m telling you, he’s out there. Nobody’s gonna need to be messing with that man at all. Let Donald Trump do what Trump does.
Jenna J: Floyd, in closing. Any message you want to pass along to all the boxing fans out there?
Floyd Mayweather Sr: Yeah, like I said, just keep coming out there and keep seeing me work and listen to me when I tell you about Ward vs ‘Triple G’.

I wouldnt be surprised if this convicted drug addict would say later on that Triple G is using Peds just like they did to Pacquiao. The Mayweathers were the horror and disgrace of boxing, we could enjoy legitimate fights todAy because Floyd runner has retired. Stay retired Champ, boxing doesnt need you neither your Team, LOL!

Of course Ward will win because he’s a light heavy and Golovkin is a small middleweight! But despite the size advantage I think Ward will still make it a hugfest, that’s all he does, anyway.
