“On The Ropes” boxing radio is back this week with host Jenna J to talk about all the latest news and fights in boxing. In this episode I will be discussing the recent announcement regarding ESPN bringing in the “Premier Boxing Champions” series. The first show of the series aired live March 7th and showcased rising stars, Keith Thurman and former welterweight champ Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner, while the second PBC card featured a welterweight shootout between Andre Berto and Josesito Lopez. I will be discussing the future of the series and be previewing some of the upcoming fights. Just click on the audio player to listen to the show!

Guests

The opening guest on this episode is WBO lightweight champ, Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford. Following a successful year in 2014, Crawford now looks to add to his list of accomplishments by moving up in weight to the 140lb division. Terence speaks about making the jump to junior welterweight and gives his thoughts on the stacked division. Crawford also talks about his preparation for his April 18th bout with Thomas Dulorme, which will be contested for the vacant WBO light welterweight title. Additionally, Terence Crawford talks about his future goals in boxing and gives his views on the upcoming Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao match.

The second guest for this weeks’ show is unbeaten rising junior middleweight prospect, Tony Harrison, who makes his debut appearance to “On The Ropes” radio. Harrison speaks about his second round stoppage over Antwone Smith earlier this month and where he hopes this win takes him. The Detroit native also shares his memories of his time training under the legendary Emanuel Steward and what he learned during that time. Lastly, Tony Harrison breaks down the junior middleweight division and talks about potential future opponents for himself.

Making his ninth appearance to the show is renowned trainer, Freddie Roach. Roach speaks about the early preparations for Manny Pacquiao ahead of the fight with welterweight champ, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and what strengths he feels Pacquiao is going to bring to the fight. Freddie Roach also gives an update on Miguel Cotto and what the future may hold for the middleweight champion. Finally, Freddie gives his prediction for the Mayweather-
Pacquiao match.

I think Roach is in denial about what really will happen. He thinks Mayweather’s legs are gone, but he will find different.

floyds legs are gone ,u dont have to be a rocket scientist to see that,he should of took this fight 5 yrs ago , he did his typical “wait till the guy is past his prime” routine but it was him who went down faster than pacquiao did these 5 yrs.a guy like floyd needs to be busy but he dosent fight enough to stay sharp as he could be.i think manny pacquiao will beat him good in a UD
