“On the Ropes” Boxing Radio is back this week with host Jenna J to talk about all the recent fights and fight news going on in the sport. In this episode, I will recap Andre Ward’s recent unanimous decision victory over Alexander Brand, a win that sets up a highly anticipated Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev bout. I will discuss what the fight means to the sport, what both fighters’ strengths are heading into the fight and break down what each fighter has to do to win. The first guest on this edition of “On The Ropes” is former middleweight champ and current trainer, John David Jackson, to talk about his fighter, Sergey Kovalev and the upcoming challenge of Andre Ward. Jackson speaks about both fighters agreeing to take interim bouts prior to the November showdown and if he felt concerned at all by the matches. John discusses the challenge that Andre Ward presents to his fighter and what he feels Kovalev will have to do to earn the win. In addition, John David Jackson speaks about the rumored bout between Manny Pacquiao and Jessie Vargas, as well as a potential Floyd Mayweather return following his retirement in late 2015.

Joining the show for the first time is undefeated featherweight prospect, Toka Kahn Clary. Toka talks about his career to this point and where he feels he stands in the 126lb weight class. Kahn Clary also shares his views on the recent world title bout between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz, and if he would like to challenge for a title at 126lbs. Lastly, Toka Kahn Clary discusses Manny Pacquiao and what he feels is next in Pacquiao’s career.

The main guest on this show is none other than future Hall of Famer, Roy Jones Jr. The former middleweight and heavyweight champion talks about the upcoming light heavyweight title fight between Andre ‘S.O.G.’ Ward and Sergey ‘The Krusher’ Kovalev. Roy also talks about the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight and if he thinks the fight hurt the sport. Additionally, Roy Jones talks about Jessie Vargas potentially being the next opponent for Manny Pacquiao and how he sees that fight playing out. Finally, Roy speaks about his career and how he thinks it will be remembered by the fans.

    I can’t see Ward being able to avoid the crushing power of Kovalev. We shall see if the fight takes place.

    Roy can fight the level of fighter like that is coming this weekend all he wants, just stay away from legit fighters.

    ..Kovalev will kill Ward period!
    We know what to expect from the fight, Ward will just do what he’s been doing eversince, and that is to run all night. Kovalev will knock himout in round 6! yes bAby, and we will see what the american media would say afterwards! after Andre ward’s ass kiss the cAnvass!
