“On The Ropes” Boxing Radio returns this week with host Jenna J to talk about all the recent fights and fight news. In this episode I will be recapping Saturday night’s HBO double header card which featured the return of IBO/WBA middleweight champion, Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin as he defeated Marco Antonio Rubio by second round knockout, and also Nonito Donaire as he suffered a KO loss to the hard hitting Nicholas Walters. I will talk what these wins mean for Golovkin and Walters and where Donaire goes following the toughest loss of his career. Just click on the audio player to listen to the show!

Guests

The first guest on this weeks show is Edwin ‘La Bomba’ Rodriguez. Edwin was part of the undercard of the Golovkin-Rubio event and he made his light heavyweight debut against Azea Augustama. Edwin talks about making the move up to light heavyweight and what he felt about his dominant ten round decision win. Rodriguez also talks about his future goals at this new weight class. Additionally, ‘La Bomba’ shares his thoughts on Gennady Golovlkins latest win, Floyd Mayweather’s next opponent and the upcoming Hopkins-Kovalev fight.

The second guest is heavyweight fighter, Amir ‘Hardcore’ Mansour. Mansour makes a return to the show to talk about his upcoming November 8th bout with Fred Kassi. Coming off of his first defeat as a professional, Amir talks about what he’s done now to get back on the winning track. Mansour also comments on the public altercations between Shannon Briggs and Wladimir Klitschko. Lastly Amir Mansour gives his views on the current boxing landscape.

The main guest on this week program is none other than former welterweight champ, Timothy ‘Desert Storm’ Bradley. Tim makes his thirteenth appearance on the show to talk about his recently announced fight with Diego Chaves. Bradley talks about coming back after losing against Manny Pacquiao earlier in the year and what he felt ultimately led him to his first loss. Bradley also sheds light into some potential future opponents that he has in his sights, and a possible move up in weight class. Timothy also gives his views on the likelihood of Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather meeting each other in the ring and who he thinks would win the match.

  1. Tony Baker says:

Pacman aint and never will fight $$$man all the time arum is above ground

    • artjd says:

@Tony Baker – Pity you’re one of those deceived by Floydie the Girlie saying it’s Arum preventing the fight with Pacquiao from ever happening. In case you haven’t known it yet or you’re just in state of denial, it’s Floydie’s fear of Pacquiao that’s preventing the fight. Imagine, a guy questioning your manhood publicly, like what Pacquiao did, and nary a whimper from Floydie the Girlie. Where I came from I would have challenged Pacquiao to a duel, I don’t know about Americans.

      Tony Baker:

      You really bark dog_tony. . . .floi-runner jr. ain’t nothing but a chicken Sh!t!

No matter how you see the frame from up side down, Pacquiao is way too much for Floi_tweetr jr.

    • Montegaro says:

Its not that case whatesoever. He’s evading him!

    • El_Critika says:

bro, if you can read between the lies, pac and arum are all set to negotiate. it’s floyd who keeps on changing the rules, his condtions may pile up to kingdom come.

  2. Barok says:

This is such a big fight that Showtime and HBO can afford to give every body a share of the pie (probably about 300 million), including Bob Arum. This fight should be a no brainer. I don’t know what these idiots are thinking.

  3. Billabong says:

cant hear shit.. lol no one listend to it but still coment.

  4. Hernan says:

If Arum is protecting Manny, why does he keeps on matching him with dangerous fighters like Cotto, Hatton, Margarito, Marquez, etc?
