“On The Ropes” Boxing Radio is back this week with host Jenna J to cover all the recent fights and news going on in boxing. In this episode I will discuss Juan Manuel Marquez’ victory over Mike Alvarado this past Saturday on HBO Boxing. The forty year old Marquez put on one of the best displays of his career and he outclassed the larger Alvarado over 12 rounds to set himself up as the mandatory challenger for the WBO welterweight title currently held by Manny Pacquiao. I will be talking about the future of Juan Manuel Marquez as well as the suspicions that some fans have regarding his performance level at his age.

Also on the show I will be previewing the upcoming Friday Night Fights Boxino finals which are set to take place this Friday on ESPN. Lastly, I will be talking about the upcoming SHOWTIME event which will feature the return of WBC light heavyweight champion, Adonis Stevenson as he fights Andrzej Fonfara, as well as a middleweight fight between David Lemieux and Fernando Guerrero. Ruslan make his fifth appearance to the show to talk about his June 14th match with Chris Algieri, and what he expects on fight night. Provodnikov also speaks about Juan Manuel Marquez and Floyd Mayweather’s recent wins, and if he would be interested in fighting either man. Lastly, Ruslan Provodnikov shares his thoughts on possibly having a fight with his training partner Manny Pacquiao in the near future.

The main guest on this weeks program is Timothy ‘Desert Storm’ Bradley. Bradley returns to the show to give his insight into the Marquez-Alvarado fight and where he believes Marquez goes after this victory. Timothy also looks back at his decision loss to Manny Pacquiao and talks about what he wants to do moving forward in his career.

The third guest is heavyweight contender, Deontay ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder. With the recent crowning of a new heavyweight champion, Wilder speaks on being the mandatory challenger for the WBC belt and if he would be willing to relinquish his spot and allow Wladimir Klitschko to unify the belts. Deontay Wilder also talks about how a fight between him and Stiverne would go.

The heat is on,regarding Marquez’s questionable speed, power and acne. Nacho wants Marquez out of the picture for the moment, I guess it’s provodnikov and pacman. Just a few months ago Marquez’s wants nothing else but a fifth belt, now they’re singing a different tune, the acne gave them away, while mayweather sr admitted that Floyd won’t fight pacman till he gets marcianos record, he’s cherry picking his way to it, now we know he won’t take the risk in fighting pacman, can’t face his fear. Pacman knows!
