Why Manny Pacquiao still won’t be able to defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr.

206 Submitted by on Mon, 24 November 2014, 15:19

With the dust settled on Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao’s win over Chris Algieri this past Saturday night, we now look forward to the possibility AGAIN of “will they, wont they” regarding Pacquiao and Mayweather.

I recently tipped Chris Algieri to claim a points victory over the eight weight world champion and legend of the sport of boxing, Manny Pacquiao. I give props to Manny for beating Algieri in the manner that he resoundingly did.

I thought that Algieri would try to do more than he did against Pacquiao, but I’ll be honest here, it was more in hope than actual belief. I thought if Algieri beat Pacquiao, it would make Floyd Mayweather Jr. sit up and say “Okay, now is the time to fight Pacquiao, make the fight” — but we all know that didn’t happen.

‘Pacman’ totally outclassed Algieri by a landslide decision on the scorecards. Algieri is a pure boxer, he is not a pure boxer on the level of a Mayweather but we have seen how this version of Pacquiao would deal with a true, pure boxer. Mayweather Jr. is the purest boxer in and around the weight divisions that he and Pacquiao currently operate in.

If Chris Algieri can survive 12 rounds with this version of Pacquiao, then how does Manny beat Mayweather?

He doesn’t. It’s that simple.

The only chance Manny Pacquiao ever had was to nail Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather with one of his left hooks from hell. Those left hooks from hell do not exist any more, unfortunately for us fight fans and for Pacquiao himself. It’s very clear to most who can see clearly.

I think the version of Manny Pacquiao from 2009 and previous would have a hell of chance of beating Mayweather, but that Manny Pacquiao does not exist any longer.

Okay, the version of Floyd Mayweather that rarely got hit is a thing of the past too, but the current version of Mayweather Jr. is still very accurate, very fast and that solid chin Mayweather has had checked numerous times, is still holding together.

We’ve seen ‘Money’ rocked by big punching ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley and hold on, fight smart, regroup, take the clinch, gather his senses and go on to box his way to victory. We recently saw Mayweather smashed with an overhand right from Marcos Maidana — a shot that knocked Floyd’s tooth clean out of his mouth. Mayweather took it, looked a bit shocked but he didn’t stagger much (he may well have done if he wasn’t already in his corner, as the 3rd round came to an end) but if there was any more time left in the round for Maidana to capitalize, then we may have seen Mayweather truly tested and in deep waters.

How can this version of Manny Pacquiao test the chin of Floyd Mayweather, with his diminished power? I just don’t see it. Manny Pacquiao can’t and never could outbox Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Even if Manny can land on Floyd, which he possibly will at some stage of the proceedings, the power that used to be in effect for ‘Pacman’ just doesn’t exist any longer.
The Mayweather chin still exists.

Normally slick fighters with a sublime defense have that style and defense for a legitimate reason, they have a ‘china’ chin — Mayweather clearly has a solid chin.

The ONLY chance Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao EVER had of BEATING Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, was to spark him out. Manny Pacquiao can no longer turn any lights out and that is the bottom line.

Floyd Mayweather would win a WIDE unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao and Manny’s face would look like something out of a horror film. It’s as simple as that, fight fans. Lets hope the fight gets made then we can FINALLY move on with all of this because, I, for one, am beyond bored of the whole situation.

Let’s put it to bed, ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Mr. Readman is out of touch with reality… 🙂 he thinks “Floyd Mayweather would win a WIDE unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao and Manny’s face would look like something out of a horror film.” He is talking about Pacquiao, not Mayweather. Look at the faces of Marquez I, II, III & even IV, Margarito, Cotto, Dela Hoya, Diaz… the list goes on, and they are the faces that Readman were describing. Even low-level fighters Mayweather cannot make look like a horror film product, what more of Pacquiao! This writer is like Algieri, he’s way over his head. hehehe.

          • Here you are again Mr. Readman, too bad that your family name is readman but it seems like you’re not a Well-Read-man whenever you choose any subject in your article. Last Saturday you missed 100% of your prediction. And now you’re bragging again. How in the world Gay Mayweather will ever beat Pacquiao if your master has no plan to fight him. You’re so stupid mr readman have you ever realized that. You’re just putting yourself into a lot of humiliation with your ignorance.

          • medel mariano says:

michael Floyd will not fall on your article, he still scared whatever words you say to convince him…

          • Roy Michael says:

You have proven yourself wrong before, and youre doing it once more.

I think this is Floyd now making a writer by now. What the hell are you doing there fagot go back to boxing and fight Manny you coward bitch 😛

    • John says:

How much gayweather pay you Mr. Idiot writer?? If that’s your opinion, i suggest tell gayweather to fight pacman to clear doubts. . . I won’t agree with you because the fight has not done yet. . so tell your boss!!! Idiot!!!

    • Anonymous says:

Hahahaha always on the theory mr. writer. I hope The Chicken Jr. will believe in your article so that he would be convinced to fight Pacquiao at this time. But I 99.9% doubt it Sir and that’s not even a theory. LMAO!

  2. Anonymous says:

Mr readman here u come again,ur an idiot bias! What happen to ir prediction? Ur a totally bullshit!

    • apdjr says:

Mr. Readman’s and Frank Lotierzo’s boy, Floyd Jr., will never outpunch Pacquiao. Mayweather will croutch, shoulder roll and tootsie roll all night long. Mayweather is not a volume puncher and this will be his downfall. Punch stats will make Pacquiao a majority decision winner, together with aggressiveness. Mayweather will win points on defense. This is the reality of it all.

  3. can't wait says:

so when this gonna happen? I’m tired of it, too. I also believe that pacquiao has no chance of beating mayweather on points. So why the hell floyd’s avoiding a fight with manny? Come on floyd, be a man. Fight fight fight!!!

    • Exactly brother. Bang on! 😉

      • Anonymous says:

another scribe paid by gayweather. your article is a trash! not worth even a single cent. why your boy is afraid of going inside the ring with pacquiao if he can easily beat him. your article has no substance.. gome home and plant sweet potato. you do not deserve to be writing here.

        • Hardly!! I’m on The Money Team huh? Jesus, get a hold of yourself brother.

No substance if you have the blinkers on.

Man, can you not just weigh things up without resorting to slurs?

I’m not saying all Pacman fans are like this, but the vast majority of you are. It’s quite sad.

There is more than one boxer in the sport of boxing. Pacman fans don’t quite understand or seem to grasp that fact.

What you gonna do when Pacman retires? Stop watching boxing?

          I certainly wont.

          • Anonymous says:

you just can accept the fact that pacman is the man to beat floydie!

my dad is a coward. 🙂

          • mhelrockz says:

Just send twitter message to FLOYD…. for GOD sake and for millions of people who loved BOXING… to accept that fight! We all know that MANNY is waiting for him to fight so damn… we should create an ARTICLE or PETITION for PAC-FLOYD event to happen…. urghhh!

          • Shawn says:

Is that your way to defend the cowardness of your idol FloydGay? Your just making fool of your own self man! ha ha ha!…..

just be true to yourself hahaha!

          • lee mark says:

Know what mr. Readman, seems to me that you watch a lot of boxing… And you just watch
that’s all… You don’t observe. You don’t really assess and evaluate… Your article is a piece of biased crap! And please, check your grammar, if you are going to write a piece of nonsense like this, atleast do it with the grammar correct! Or better yet, if you can’t then just shut up…

          • lee mark says:

Next time you write an article about boxing… Please, do it with substance and fair judgement.
but i have a feeling that you know nothing about that aren’t you? It’s all clear that you are a mayweather fan… Die hard to say the least… But you are entitled to your own opinion, however, writers like you just make the one you are biased with look real bad. I like mayweather, and i like paquiao too. I root for manny but, i know too well, based on my assessment of the two fighters that both can lose to each other, the speed and power of paquiao, along with his unique angles and footwork would definitely be a test to floyd’s slickness, shoulder roll defense and his ring generalship, and these skills can also prove to be a challenge for manny. The thing is, it’s the defense of floyd vs. the offense of manny. You cannot actually use past fights of the two as a solid basis because these two fighters are the best at what they do in the ring, none can be compared to them. Age and decline may be a factor but that’s only one of the many points to consider in giving a solid conclusion on who might win if they fight. Your predictions are way over your head. I hope you learned something.. Hell! I’m not even a writer and i already did it better than you.

      • wakatu says:

hey, Readman whoever you are, ARE YOU SERIOUS????REALLY?Pacman’s face would look like something out of horror film, hahaha aRE YOU DREAMING OR YOU’RE JUST A MORON? how could that be when guererro, maidana, canelo and even ortiz with that fake knockout, finished with almost clean face and pacman is much much faster than any of them. it was gayweather who’s bruised and minus a tooth in that fight with maidana. A piece of advice for an aspiring boxing writer like you, “please analyze first before writing. that’s RESPONSIBILITY. and just hope that the fight come to fruition so that this will come to an end. that’s the only answer to so many questions that hound your kind

      • Shawn says:

Are you so moron writer? who has a horror face after the fight of Mayweather and Maidana? It’s Mayweather’s face? you can see the wear and tear in the face of Mayweather, its obvious he is beaten even he win on points…Maidana on the other hand has a clean face…If Manny and Pacquiao will fight im sure Manny will win by KO, unless Maidana will run like Algieri.

And what is your basis that Floyd will gonna beat the face of Manny? He cannot even beat the face of Maidana? The truth is Maidana made Floyd’s face Horror? ha ha ha!

      • Readagain says:

Read Again Mr. Readman, Do you understand what “Can’t Wait” says?
If Floydie can beat Manny by points.
“So why the hell floyd’s avoiding a fight with manny? Come on floyd, be a man. Fight fight fight!!!”

Convince your Floydie to sign the contract and do not make any 100% PERFECT PRE-DICK-TION. You’re just making your self stupid TBE. HAHAHA

  4. roque balboa says:

stop analyzing please! let them fight and see the result.

    • apdjr says:

Readman and Lotierzo are the richest boxing writers in the business. They can fortell outcomes of fights. You see, for them fights are predictable and that’s why these kind of writers rush to the betting booth to collect Mayweather, I mean Money.

  5. Anonymous says:

Six knockdowns! and ur telling us pac diminished power? When was the last time floyd knock out or down his opponent

    • It is diminished, my man.

The Pacman of old, Algieri would NOT have got up of the first KD, never mind bloody 6 of them!!!
That proves the ruthless KO power is gone.
Power is still there but certainly NOT as much. Not enough to put Mayweather away.
Mayweather has a solid chin and its ultra hard to catch him flush.
Very few and far between that Mayweather is tagged hard.

It CAN happen though (Mayweather being tagged hard) You just never know, but its unlikely, Floyd would probably slightly parry the shot or get his shoulder in the way, thus taking some power off the shot.

      • manunulot says:

          Man. SMH.

          • minion says:

mr, readman what happened to you’re analysis about pac losing to algeiri? now this? what will happen if you were to be proven wrong again? If you plan to analyze between Floyd and pac pls note the reason why Floyd is still hesitant on fighting pac. cause I think Floyd knows better Floyd senior knows better too.you said it even better referring to the pac algeiri fight analysis that its actually more of hope than belief, aint it now more of hope than belief that Floyd would beat pac. give credit where its due give pac some fighting chance after all Floyd hasn’t fought any fighter close to or at far with he’s skill set.

        • mhelrockz says:

          HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

      • Anonymous says:

Don’t take the credit out from Algieri dude. Ruslan took Chris ass to the beating but he could not take him out. Provod is more powerful than Pac in terms of power punching. And maybe adding the weight he gained is a factor. Consider that Chris is running all night long.. Also me I saw holes on how Floyd could land those straight/lead right. But I know there is always a counter like you saw from Pac countering the jab.

      • GuyWhoCares says:

Mr. Readman, to make your point more accurate and believable, try going into the ring and fight the Pacman. Hahaha.

        • I’m too big for Manny. I’m 6 ft 3 and I weigh 14 stone.

That’s not a fair fight, dude. I would take it though.

Lets call it a catchweight bout 😉 haha!

          • Shawn says:

Floyd’s foot speed had gone. As you can see in his last 2 fights with Maidana. Although he win on points but his face is messy and looked horrible..can’t you realize or analyze that? Then how much more if Floyd will fight Pacman? Even if Floyd will win on points against Pacman Im sure he will absorb more punishment. Thats the reason why Floyd doesn’t like to fight Pacman because he’s afraid to get hurt and beaten.

          • lee mark says:

Dude it’s not about the size man… You might be 6’3″ but can you move? Hahaha! For an average guy, you might be a real monster but give it a shot to manny and you might wake up in lala land! So full of your self!

      • Markus says:

This is a really stupid article…i onky clicked bec of the title of the article..but now that i know the name–Michael Redman is it? I aint reading any of ur bullshit…
and you consider urself a boxing purist?u cant even predoct accurately the outcome of the fight when it was obvious Algieri had 0.00% chance..
the left hook u mean? Algieri was so scared he was running all the time trying to avoid manny’s left..the 9th ko wasnt even his strongest punch…algieri did right by going to his right but heck had he gotten manny’ss best ounch it wud have been lights out…
ur def like algieris trainer-dellusional!!!!ur so fake!!im sure u havent even boxed ur entire life..u have no credibility at akl!!

      • floydcott says:

Hey mr no nothing writer think abouit it. Algieri was running all night long,it very very difficult to a boxer to hit a running opponent but yet manny hit him and knockdown 6 times. This style of algieri was same as floyd so floyd will demand another bullshit nonesense demand to avoid manny once again believe me.

      • dark moon says:

hey michael, have you ever think why floyd is very reluctant to fight pac?
if he thinks he could easily beat pac, why did be not fight him?
it has to be that he thinks he couldn’t beat him, simple as that!
he knows his body more than us… think again

  6. BiasAuthor says:

Something out of a horror film? Really? Since when did Floyd turn someone’s face into a mess? He was unable to do it against past oppositions, but he will against Pac who’s a greater fighter than any of Floyd has fought? Lol. Is this a fighthype article? Is that you Ben? Lol.

  7. Wake Up! says:

Yo! Readman i can see your a very poor author! Your article’s title is very misleading “WON’T BE ABLE TO BEAT” meaning absolutely no chance for Pacquiao yet you dwell in your own imaginary observations to try and validate your assumptions! Wake Up into the real world man! Until your IDOL chicken floyd faces the PACMONSTER inside the squared arena, this story of yours is just another fairytale about your favorite super hero’s made up superhuman abilities. Truth is, He’s aware of the real danger that awaits him should he fight the Pacman. So change your title to Pacman MIGHT not be able to Beat DUCKweather. also include IF Floyd finally grows some balls and finally decides to accept the fight.

  8. Thomas H says:

Is Floyd going to punch with his chin? Is his chin going to potshot for him? Will his defense outpoint Pacquiao? Will his counterpunches sting enough to stymy a Pacquiao counter on a counter? Rather, the power that makes you cower and run, the power that minimizes your punch output, the speed and footwork that catches speedy runners like Bradley and Algieri, the volume of punches delivered with power and accuracy, the chin tested only by the best of the best punchers, and a roided freak. And your only arguments are Floyd’s chin and Manny’s inability to spark anymore? Good try but NO.

    • helen says:

      nice and brilliant!
      you hit that nail bro!
      Readman got OWNED!!! peace

    • There isn’t enough power no more dude!!

Manny cant even put a welterweight away, at a catchweight. Man, you dudes are crazy!! 🙂

How will it minimize Floyd’s punch output when Manny is afraid to throw in case he looks foolish by being countered by Mayweather repeatedly?

It happened to Canelo who is a bigger man than Floyd and more accustomed to the bigger weight class.
Canelo looked bedazzled by Mayweather’s shots from all angles.
He was embarrassed, he didn’t dare throw.

You saying this couldn’t happen to Manny? You have got to look at it from both sides, not just how you want it to play out

Mayweather is no banger, but shot accumulation stings and it stings enough to make you think twice about your own work.

It takes it’s toll and you are happy to see the final bell, on your feet.

      • Anonymous says:

at least pac dropped aligieri 6 times who’s tall and rangy with fast footwork. so when did floyd ko’d or knocked down a welterweight?? the ortiz sucker punch ko does not count!

        • Catchweight.

Algieri is a career LW, so that doesn’t count at WW either, man.

Mayweather doesn’t spark anyone no longer, but he has never needed to. He has had very close fights, some people gave Oscar the win, I had Floyd 1 round up, I couldn’t argue with it going the other way. I had Castillo 2 rounds up in Mayweather vs Castillo I, so did many others.
He just impresses most judges with his ring craft.

          Its just a fact.

          • Raymond says:

As what i read on your article on algieri pacquiao you are like certainly sure algieri will beat pacquiao. So know how can people believe on what you are saying. You analyze it shallow dude. You are always pointing on the dimishing power of pacquiao, but what you didn’t see is the way he played the game. As what i have told your eyes deceived you. You analyze things in a wrong way. You are telling me you are a fan for 10 years. Let me show you what you said “Now, bare with me here. If Provodnikov can have the very strong chinned Tim Bradley, basically running for his life around the ring, and Manny Pacquiao couldn’t have Bradley running for his life (Pacquaio did have Bradley running, don’t get me wrong, but not for his life) then how can Pacquiao with his seemingly diminished power trouble Algieri at all, when Algieri took Provodnikov’s best licks and totally out-boxed the come forward mauler?”. So now tell me, now you are wrong about the fight, so why not right first i was wrong about the fight between algieri an pacquiao instead of writing another one that pacquiao cannot beat mayweather? If you really love boxing you should not be one sided.

      • deepdiver21 says:

well a lot of boxers have said that too but when they tasted the hot chili on Pacman’s gloves their games changed, even Chris’ game changed.

now, if what you were saying in your article is true, then I so be it, just let that duck face Pacman in the ring. Can you egg Floyd to fight Pacman? but wait, Floyd has no eggs! hahaha!

      • Francisco says:

Canelo is no Pacquiao, doesn’t possess Manny’s handspeed nor footspeed. Come on Sir , you tipped Algieri to win, and you say you give props for Manny for the victory but in your succeeding statements you pull the rug under the guy’s feet, Of course , you tone it down by saying that the 2009 version of Pacquiao would give Mayweather fits. As if Mayweather himself has not regressed.
You also have got to look at it from both sides – Manny punches from unnatural angles and unlike Marquez who will punch with Pacquiao , Mayweather is a lot more conservative. Cotto and Maidana gave Mayweather fits, and both fighters probably gassed down towards the homestretch. Do you see this happening to Manny? Had Maidana maintained his work and punch rate throughout the fight , the result would have been different , ditto with Cotto.
Canelo is sometimes too methodical to a fault and doesn’t use angles the way Pacquiao does and he wouldn’t be able to because he lacks the footspeed vis-a-vis a Mayweather. Pacquiao even at his age closes the distance better than any fighter in the sport. And with the exception of that one punch knockout against Hatton , Pacquiao wears down his opponent at this weight. Cotto traded with Pacquiao in the early going. Manny was able to plant his feet to generate power. Contrast this with Algieri who was constantly creating distance and moving throughout the fight.

  14. Ernie Briones says:

Manny Pacquiao has already won the fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. because ever since Floyd has avoided Manny and because the two champions instinctively know who’s the best and that is Manny Pacquiao … When Manny saw Floyd’s recent fights Manny was laughing ironically at Floyd as if : Is this the best pound for pound fighter today? As humble as he is Manny Pacquiao is the only boxer in history to win 8 divisions. Imagine a small guy who can beat bigger opponents . Is their a boxer you know who can do that ?

  15. Mateng says:

Manny still won’t be able to beat Floyd cos he won’t step into the ring with him. Mayweather knows, that’s the only way to avoid Manny’s punches, stay out of the ring.

  16. Hahaha 🙂 Keep it coming guys, I’m always here to reply man!!!

Check my comment at the bottom of the Pacquiao vs Algieri article.

I never run from any comments/opinions.

You are a total Idiot Mr. Readman!

  18. Fuckmichael says:

Oh my God., you better retire Michael Readman., After all what pacquiao accomplished in his career!! Why the self proclaimed T.B.E. Still ducking after all this time? Analyze it michael reaaadman !!! Thats the only question!!

  19. astig_119 says:

Ok, Mr. Readman, agree, but what would you say about Mayweather being brought down repeatedly by those diminished lefts and rights, could he win against those by running and potshotting, you must be dreaming.

    • I hope we get to find out Sir.

      I’ll keep hoping!!!

Its driving me round the bend waiting 5 years odd to put the arguments and counter arguments to sleep.

It will be great for the sport of boxing. That’s the main thing about this fight, for me and many others.

  20. Pinoypower says:

Let me see…do you know what Algierii, Bradley, Marquez, Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, Hatton, Barrera, Morales and all of Manny Pacquiao’s opponents have in common? The courage to fight Manny Pacquiao. This can’t be said about Floyd Mayweather Jr. No more excuses Floyd, just fight and show us all who is really the best ever. Prove it to us once and for all. Why is it you will fight every other Tom, Dick and Harry, but you won’t fight Manny? Yet every other Tom, Dick and Harry will fight him. What does that say about you?

    • The whole thing with is one or the other ducking each other….I have a feeling that both Manny an Floyd have a gentlemen’s agreement to not fight each other until their FINAL bout. I could be wrong, but it makes sense to me.

If they fought 5 years ago lets say, whoever lost would NOT be making the kind of money they are currently making. With not fighting each other, they can STILL BOTH demand huge pay cheques. Its a situation that isn’t totally unbelievable, especially in boxing. We know a lot of shit goes on bro.

Is it out of the realms of possibility that they wont fight until their final fight?
Even if they do fight in the final bout of both their careers, even the rematch will be HUGE PPV if its close, so it makes sense to me.

Maybe not to you or anyone else, but it does to me.

      Peace.

They will surely be a beauty to watch executing the art of sweet science. So please help convince Mr Mayweather to stop making excuses and fight Mr Pacman

  22. rey4yal says:

Styles make fights. We will not argue who will win if the fight happens. WE JUST WANT THE FIGHT TO HAPPEN… Yes, Floyd is a very gifted boxer. He however is not convinced that he can bet Manny big time. HE IS A BUSINESSMAN IN GLOVES. HE WANTS TO BE SURE IN EVERYTHING HE DOES. HE HAS NO BIG FIGHTING HEART AS MANNY PACQUIAO DOES. If we can recall, Floyd resigned in the thick of an ongoing negotiation for a rematch against de la Hoya several years back. During that time he was also GROOMED to face the winner of the Cotto – Margarito fight. HE RESIGNED IN HIS PRIME.. WHY IS THAT? ONLY FLOYD KNOWS THE REAL REASON.. MAYBE FEAR OF LOSING AND GETTING TAGGED WITH A STRONG PUNCH BY POWERFUL BOXERS.. Yes he is a very good defensive boxer/counter puncher but he has a very small fighting heart.. He has seen how Manny demolished Hatton and Cotto (one of the boxers he evaded years back). That is the reason why they demanded a random blood testing because they can’t believe how Manny in his stature can beat bigger and stronger guys. Hence, the FEAR to face Manny. WORD FOR THE DAY – COWARDICE…
MY SUGGESTION: FACE YOUR FEARS FLOYDIE AND MAN UP DUDE!!!

he’s just convincing floyd to fight pac. false sense of security. lol.

  24. Bakie Longta says:

Floyd must be very happy to read your writing Mr Readman but still not so crazy to get to the ring with Pacquiao. This is a great matchup, a great defensive vs a great offensive. Where do you put your money? I know myself where and can’t wait to see this once in a lifetime event.

This writer dont know how to write, thats why until now he’s a small time journalis
Do ur research , and study hard

  27. D3zstroyer says:

Let me start off by saying this. If you’re an accomplished veteran of writing articles and a true follower of the sport you would have predicted a different outcome. If you know boxing then you could have taken a much better guess between Manny Pacquaio and Chris Algieri. If you thought Algieri would outbox Pacquaio then that alone already proves your limited knowledge, when it comes to the art of boxing and Manny Pacquaio himself.

I predicted an easy win for Manny Pacquaio and it was. He came into the ring, in fighting shape and with tremendous speed and power in the early rounds and he was still fighting fit until the final bell rang. I expected that Pacquaio would either go under Chris’s jab or immediately counter it, leading with his straight left hand which i knew would surprise Algieri.

The moment Manny landed that first left hand in the first round, Algieri knew that Pacquaio was at another level. That was exactly the case here tonight. He immediately felt Pacquaio’s power and had no answer to Manny’s attack because Manny was so profound in not giving him the time to settle or relax. Algieri was nervous all night long, from beginning to end.

I know that both you and Mr Lotierzo are considered to be Floyd nuthuggers and you guys are. First of all, Floyd is further on the decline then Pacquaio is and you want to know why? His legs. And as a true boxing fan you would know that the legs are always the first thing to go. That’s the way it is with all fighters. He’s not as mobile as he was before, hangs in the ropes because his stamina isn’t there for his footwork and gets hit, even though if he puts up the philly shell.

Other than that Pacquaio proved to everybody that he can come back strong. He showed some ring rust during the Rios and Bradley fight, if you’re a follower you would have noticed. BUT he proved that he’s still “Manny Pacquaio”. He has beaten 2 undefeated fighters who can all box well and by all means have a difficult style for Manny to cope with as Morales proved in their first meeting that the straight right is the antidote of course for southpaws and Pacquaio. It’s something Manny needs to work on.

BUT, he gave Rios a beating, Outboxed and hurt Bradley, Outboxed and dropped Chris Algieri with tremendous speed and power, and Manny’s trademark angles. He came back and proved to the fans that he’s back as the old Manny Pacquaio. He may not be as overconfident as he was before and he doesn’t always throw big bombs like he used to all the time by comitting himself all the time. But he doesn’t need to! that’s how good he actually is!

And he has improved A LOT since the knockout loss to Marquez. it made him a better fighter. It was a lucky punch that landed but it’s still a knockout so Manny learned from that, and a fighter his age suffering such a defeat and coming back in vintage fashion and defeating 2 undefeated guys after a row? That just tells me that the old Manny Pacquaio is back.

Pacquaio is giving Mayweather a hint. He has defeated 2 undefeated fighters so far. And believe me, Bradley is a tougher fight for Pacquaio then Mayweather is. You know why? Mayweather is VERY predictable, he’s just very quick and sharp. That’s the only reason he lands on his opponents. Because of his accuracy, speed and pinpoint counter punches. But do i believe that will be enough to stop Pacquaio in his tracks? I really doubt it.

Algieri isn’t known to be a big puncher but i doubt Mayweather hits harder then him and Pacquaio proved that he can still take a punch. Algieri didn’t move him even once. Which means Pacquaio has his confidence back. I can’t understand how you can think of Mayweather to come out the winner should these 2 fight each other.

First of all. They are the 2 best p4p in the sport in my opinion but Pacquaio is just as quick, more powerful, has better legs and is always on his toes when things get heated up, unlike Mayweather. Whom lately finds it nearly impossible to move off the ropes. That says a lot about the man. He also can’t take a punch the way Pacquaio can take one. He can easily be hurt once you catch him flush on the chin.

Mayweather himself knows that and he knows that Manny Pacquaio is the biggest threat out there. The relentlessness. He comes forward and never backs off but he stays active and throws punches at you. If Manny takes away Floyd’s right hand it will all be over.

Mayweather’s only shot at defeating Pacquaio is the right hand. He isn’t sure of himself and he’s scared to lose the unblemished 0 on his record. He knows Manny will turn him from an undefeated fighter to a defeated fighter. But if the fight does take place i can happily say that it’s looking better for Pacquaio right now. he’s a lot smarter now, his timing is a lot better and his punches land crisp and clean. Imagine the shots that Manny landed on Chris, landing on Floyd? Please…. Floyd’s going to be running scared around the ring after tasting Pacquaio’s power. And he can’t keep him off of him just like the Algieri fight because he knows he has no power in either hand.

And Manny is as unique and aggressive as they come. He doesn’t just throw punches that tap you. Every punch he throws, despite not with full power, are volume power punches and that’s exactly what Mayweather wouldn’t want. Volume power punches landing on him. Considering Pacquaio is a natural lefty and his straight left hand has one punch ko power, Mayweather knows he’s vulnerable to that shot and that it could possibly take him out. NOBODY has ever managed to take away Manny’s left. Neither will Floyd if ever they fought and he knows that very well.

He’s an asshole in life but also a coward, but i only respect him as a champion. But in my heart i know that Mayweather will lose this fight. Pacquaio just has too much heart and Floyd knows that Manny fights every round looking to knock you out while Floyd just fights to survive. There’s a big difference there already.

So keep suckking Floyd’s nutsack if you wish to do so but i can’t say how wrong you are by believing Floyd would beat Pacquaio. He’s not an easy guy to beat on the scorecards or by trading. Mayweather can’t trade or it’s over. Mayweather can’t box with him because Manny will be looking for the counter while Floyd’s in the middle of the ring. Floyd will be running all night and Manny will be landing left hand bombs al night long. Floyd know that and that’s exactly why the fight hasn’t happened yet.

if Mayweather weren’t making his own decisions in the ring then the fight would have happened a long time ago. But since he keeps finding excuses… Let’s wait and see.

    • My man, its all about opinions in boxing. It’s a subjective sport.

You see one thing, the next person see’s the total polar opposite.

As I said, it was more in hope than belief. I hoped Algieri would beat Manny to FORCE Mayweather to sit up and take the fight.

I backed Algieri to win on points, I ALSO backed Manny to win on points.

I have no preference on who wins this fight. I just want it to happen, like five years ago! 😉

Just take a step back and think about what you are actually saying. You are calling me a nuthugger. There seems a certain irony to that claim. I am far from a nuthugger dude. Seriously.
But, you can think and say what you like, that’s your prerogative and your opinion and you are more than entitled to it.

You really think I though Chris would beat Manny? Come on dude. It was a hope!
A hope that was dismissed. I was hoping against hope that if Chris won, Floyd would be all over the Pacman bout.
I don’t know he isn’t, neither do you, its all speculation an rumour. We DON’T know the truth.

      Thanks for your comments.

      • Shawn says:

What? You hoped Algieri to beat Manny to FORCE Floyd to sit up and take the fight? Are you not thinking, what kind of idea is that? Tell me what’s the reason of Floyd not fighting Manny just after his KO loss to Marquez??? C’mon your alibi is a moronic, You knew what i mean…your just pretending that you just hope that Algieri would win but actually you believed Algieri to win and you rooted for him to beat Pacman…and you under estimate Pacman again..Nice try dude!

    • alex says:

absolutely correct! that is the best analysis!

  28. D3zstroyer says:

No, I know Manny Pacquaio and they didn’t agree to wait it out until the final bout. Despite that it wouldn’t surprise me if it would happen to be either guy’s last bout or second fight next year.

Manny wants Floyd BAD. It’s Floyd who always keeps finding excuses as to not fight him. He is scared. And now he’s hiding under a rock because team Mayweather is still trying to find a way to conceive to the people that he does want to fight him, trying to figure out how to tell it to the press and make Pacquaio look bad again while they are the assholes who keep lying about everything…

  29. D3zstroyer says:

And it’s very short sighted to bring up the lack of knockouts again when talking about Manny Pacquaio, that simply proves your lack of experience in boxing. Kncokouts come naturally, not forced. You can not force to guy to get knocked out. He either gets lucky and gets back up or he doesn’t. That 9th round knockout was a flush shot that could have sent Algieri to Lala land but it didn’t. That’s how lucky Algieri got. It could have been a knockout had the referee waved off the fight. Because he was flat on his back and definitely disortiented, confused and badly hurt from all those punches he took from Pacquaio.

When’s the last time Floyd knocked somebody out convincingly? EXACTLY… He hasn’t, so why don’t we bring that up as well since we’re talking about lack of knockouts? And since when have knockouts become so important? Do you know who knockouts are important to? To the casual fans who know SH*T about the sport. That’s right…

A real boxing fans will always favour a dominant 12 round UD as we’ve seen last night or a late round stoppage over a knockout in the early rounds. People don’t pay that much for 3-6 minutes of entertainment. Unless the knockout comes naturally then it comes but i’m tired of hearing that bs about Manny not having knocked anybody out. This is a different level and a tough weightclass for Pacquaio so give the man some respect. What Pacquaio has done, Mayweather will never achieve as well.

    • They come when they come, naturally or not. Was Marquez’s KO of Manny natural? No,
it was timed to perfection, and possibly not natural at all (if you get me 😉 )

They certainly didn’t come on Saturday after putting Algieri on his arse 6 times did they?

When was the last time you can remember a fighter being decked 6 times and being allowed to continue?
Very, very rare. The ref looks into the fighters eyes and knows if they are in a position to continue. The old Pacman would have had Chris out of there on the first KD. This goes to show there is no true KO power there no longer

Mayweather cant knock anybody out no more, he doesn’t need to.
It doesn’t mean that he cant box people like he always has done though.

Even though Mayweather has declined himself, he is still a very accomplished boxer, with high ring IQ.

You don’t need KO’s to win fights if you are a crafty fighter.

Believe what your heart tells you.

      • Shawn says:

Your wrong again..When did Manny KO his opponent as big as Algieri? He’s certainly cannot KO Algieri with just 1punch or more even when before during his prime. And Provo has proven that..and maybe thats the strong point of Algieri that made him different from other boxers.

  30. rey4yal says:

Next demand from mayweather camp will be: All Pacquiao entourage will submit to a blood test before and after the fight and that includes Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao. Hell yeah Mr. Readman sir!!!

  31. D3zstroyer says:

Manny doesn’t need to tell anybody anything, if you know the man, then you know him very well as a person. It’s like knowing your wife. She says it’s ok but you know it isn’t. She says there’s no problem but there is one. Manny says the issues are complicated and up to bob to make the fight but there’s so much more behind it than that. Both of them want a huge Payday. Both of them want to go out with a bang. But one thing is for certain. Manny is not the one who’s making Floyd look bad. It’s the other way around. Floyd’s protesting and running his mouth like a coward would of course which only suggests that he’s the one trying to make a scene, and if there’s no real reason to make a scene then why make one if you know that it will only upset people with the idea of a future fight? People will stop caring after all the bs stories he’d thrown out. He’d have been better to keep it shut and wait it out. But he didn’t.

I’m a half blood filipino myself and have relatives who know Pacquaio. My wife is from Davao and so is my family. They come from a rich background and have people from Sarangani who know Pacquaio. Pacquaio won’t disclose any real information about it but he won’t hesitate to state that he’s not hiding. He tells everybody, his family, friends, people he knows. HE WANTS THE FIGHT. He wants to go in there and bust Mayweather up. His patience is coming to an end and so is his career slowly down the road. So it will have to happen soon or it will never happen until both guys are way out of their prime which is a rinse and repeat of history we do not wish to see.

Manny is a great and humble guy, totally the opposite of Mayweather. Mayweather may be a good Sportsman at heart just like Pacquaio is but deep down inside he doesn’t have the warrior mentality, the power and the heart to hurt Manny Pacquaio throughout the course of 12 rounds. Just like Algieri was hesitant to admit that he felt Pacquaio’s power. If he didn’t feel it in round 1 then he wouldn’t have reacted the way he did in the ring. Tell tale sign. Words are just words. Bring on the action and let’s get it on fire.

  32. Raymond says:

Mr. Readman, are you a boxing fan or a Mayweather fan? The way you analyze boxing is way far from a good boxing fan. First thing first, i haven’t seen Mayweather beat up somebody in a recent years that makes you think that if Pacquiao fought him, Manny’s face will look like something of a horror movie. It shows you are biased. Yes maybe he is good in his defense but have you heard boxers who had fought pacquiao. They know pacquiao is fast, they didn’t expect how fast he is when they fought him. When marquez fought mayweather. It was marquez who keeps on coming in. It is not the way marquez fight. He is a Counter puncher. Styles makes fight. Yes maybe mayweather has an advantage, but we wound not know until they step in the ring. Next time ask yourself are you a boxing fan or just a plain Mayweather fan? Both of them are declining by the way. It is not only Pacquiao but in recent fights mayweather is getting hit already. The way you wrote it, it shows how biased you are.

    • Read what I have said my man. If you don’t agree, you don’t agree.

I was a huge fan of boxing 10 years before either of these cats turned pro.

      Your opinion, dude.

      • Raymond says:

Yes pacquiao power maybe not that much anymore, but also mayweather’s boxing skills is not the same. I like his defense but in recent fights he is getting hit already by slower boxers. It is not the power anymore mr. Readman it will all depends on how pacquiao’s speed and unpredictable punch. Almost all boxers who fought him say the same thing it is not the power, it is the volume, speed and unpredictable punches of pacquiao caught them by surprise. Maybe you are not listening to the fighters who fought pacquiao, all you can see is what your eyes is seeing. Maybe next time you can listen to the boxers who fought pacquiao, it is them who knows better and not you or even me. Because they are the one who fought him and experience how it is fighting with pacquiao.

  33. rey4yal says:

Mr. Readman sir, you said you want Algiere to win on points so Floyd will have the guts to face manny. It may however be another way out for Floyd. He will demand for a very small purse for Pacquiao because Pacquiao lost to an underdog. He will blast insults to Manny just like what he did when Manny was knocked out cold by Marquez…

    • Raymond says:

Mr. Readman wants algieri to win so that he will have a point that mayweather will easily beat pacquiao. Its plain and simple. It shows in is column how biased he is towards pacquiao. How can a boxer like mayweather will make pacquiao’s face look something from a horror movie?have you seen maidana’s face?does his face look beaten up badly by floyd? I cannot see it that way all i can see is if that happens it will be on points. Even great boxing experts will not agree with mr. Readman. I am a fan of pacquiao but i will see it will be hard fight for him, but it will not be impossible.

      • I want the fight lads, I don’t give a shit who makes what.
We need this putting to bed, that’s one thing, the other thing (and more important thing here) if the fight gets made, the world stops and takes notice, the build up, everything.

This fight does more for boxing than any other fight in the current era of boxing, this fight gets kids into gyms, gets sponsors involved, IT WAKES BOXING UP!!!!
        WORLDWIDE

That is the main thing with this fight, not who wins, or who makes the most money or which fans can taunt the other fans. Its bigger than that.

        BOXING!!!!

        • ROGS says:

Silence is golden and this fight will not gonna happen. Floyd is loaded with ammunition of excuses either in Facebook or Twitter. Team Pac should be prepared for this.

        • Raymond says:

I also want to see that fight, but i don’t agree with the way you wrote your column. As what i can see, who ever dictates the tempo will will. It can be because of mayweather defense and pacquiao will have a hard time going inside or it can be pacquiao’s speed and his unpredictable game. I don’t see that pacquiao face will be badly beaten up by floyd, i never see mayweather will go toe to toe on that fight. Yes he can land few shots, he will rely more on his defense. And pacquiao is a volume fighter. It is not the same as other opponents of mayweather. Yes he have a fought stronger guys buy mayweather never fought unpredictable and maybe as fast as he is fighter. We can never tell until the fight happens.

          • Pacman walks forward, he likely walks into punches coming from Mayweather, on the back foot.

That’s how I think he gets marked up, quite brutally.

          • Raymond says:

He walks forward but it is a valid point to think that he can be badly be beaten up. But mayweather will not punch because of the volume of punch and upredictability of punches of pacquiao. That is why pacquiao is a good fighter, he has speed and unpredictable punches. We have seen a lot of fighters that has speed but where are they now? Listen to the fighters who fought pacquiao everybody is saying the same thing. It is his speed, volume and unpredictability that makes the difference and always caught them unpreferred. He had faught cotto, mosley, margarito, they will tell you the same thing it is not the power. We have lots of boxer who has punching power but where are they? Try to listen and maybe you will understand what is my point.

  34. Anonymous says:

I understand your point Michael.. the fight should happen five years ago when Pacman still has that power.. That is what Mayweather been avoiding and he’s waiting for that power to diminish.. It’s easy to predict based on your own observation.. you’ll never know.. try to learn the sport..

  35. D3zstroyer says:

And Manny’s an easy guy to approach. He’s very friendly, always humble and always smiles. It sometimes make you wonder, that when you do meet him in person. How he can be the warrior in the ring that he is BUT because of his new found religion he doesn’t commit throwing bombs all the time anymore. if he did, the result would have been that Algieri would have looked like Margarito if he stood and boxed a bit more. He was very reluctant in releasing his punches. Pacquaio’s power really made the difference that night. Floyd’s a smart guy, despite that Algieri didn’t admit it, he knows. 🙂

  36. D3zstroyer says:

See i don’t understand why everybody thinks the power is GONE. IT ISN’T GONE! Open your eyes people! This is not about a diminishing Pacquaio it’s about a man who completely changed and has enough tools in the closet knowing he doesn’t need a knockout to win. he can box well enough and stay active enough to win almost every round. He (Pacquaio) Still has the power. You want proof? Very simple. Look at one specific round of the fight. Up to you to figure out which one. Where Manny BADLY tried to finish off Algieri. Algieri turtled up and ran away very fast, noticing that Pacquaio has put on the steam onto his punches. He most likely just uses 75-80% of his power for the majority of the rounds and his true power shows up once he got his opponent hurt and when he does hurt them at that stage they could go down or they are dazed by the powerful shots. That’s the new Manny Pacquaio for you guys.

This has nothing to do with the lack of punching power. This is just a different weightclass, Big guys, reduced punch output from Pacqauio due to the reason he’s hesitant and scared. The old Manny Pacquaio who almost killed his opponents in there is gone. That’s because of his new found religion guys. The Margarito fight changed him as a fighter, changed his heart and soul. Made him a different man in life and in the ring. That’s all there is to it.

  37. Guru says:

    To Michael Readman
you are another hater::: you better shutdown your pentium 3 computer and sleep

  38. D3zstroyer says:

Well i didn’t mean to say hesitant and scared, i meant to say careful and smart. Marquez changed him in a positive way, especially at this age and stage of his career.

  39. dan says:

PBF. Cannot. Mark one dimensional Maidana he lost the first fight and do a lot of clinching in the second fight. Aided by the referee.

    • Raymond says:

Mr readman, by the way who ask maidana to use other gloves? As you can see floyd fan, he is the one who doesn’ t want his face to be beaten up against maidana. Have you heard pacquiao ask his opponents to use other gloves, instead of there usual gloves. As i can see it mayweather will ask pacquiao to use other gloves instead of the cleto reyes gloves that pacquiao is using since the start of his career. Maybe you can ask yourself with the way you analyze boxing, do you really love boxing or you love mayweather?

  40. D3zstroyer says:

And another thing, Floyd has NO chin at all. BUT you have to nail him flush which is very hard to do. Once you get one big shot in, he’s there for you to be knocked out. That’s the way it is with Floyd. If he had a decent chin he’d be able to take big shots as well, and walk right through them when he needs to, it’s not about the fact that somebody wants to take a big shot but if the guy has the ability to take a big shot that lands flush. And if Manny lands a straight left on Floyd? I think Floyd will feel it and turtle up more.

    • Tell Shane Mosley that. You may get a whole different response.

      • D3zstroyer says:

Mosley hurt him BADLY, Mosley even said that Pacquaio hits a LOT harder then Floyd does and that Floyd has limited power but simply places his punches well. That’s the difference. Mosley was more then content being in there with Floyd but he was scared to death once he felt Pacquaio’s power and it limited his ounch output very much just like almost any other fighter out there who faced Pacquaio will tell you exactly the same. Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Ricky Hatton, Marquez, Barrera, Morales, Bradley and so many more all admitted that he has power in both hands so why do you think that because the knockouts stopped that the power went away as well? That makes no sense bro, that’s not boxing anymore. Think of it this way. If Floyd had a chin then he wouldn’t be so scared to get hit, if he were a warrior he would want to feel out what the other guy has to offer. I particularly found it funny that Cotto didn’t even notice that his shots were seriously affecting Floyd. I just wish that he managed to land one clean shot then i believe he would have put Mayweather down as Cotto is a big time puncher for sure. he just never caught him clean and gassed out, fought a very bad fight. Things could have turned out differently if Cotto had Freddie Roach in his corner, a lot different.

  41. conggo says:

it would be Mayweather who will beat Paquiao if the fight did happen 2 or 3 years ago… This time, with Mayweather showing slow while get staged, letting his shoulder roll over his body while resting on the roof and with Pac with his unblemish speed and footwork, it is now Pacquiao to defeat Mayweather

  42. D3zstroyer says:

Exactly, if Mayweather fought Pacquaio 5 years ago i would bet on Mayweather to win but i know my boxing and Manny is not the same reckless guy who’s style would suit Floyd perfectly. Now he’ll have a hard time with Manny in there. Manny is very patient and like Algieri put it, Manny Pacquaio has perfected the Manny Pacquaio style of fighting, he has an awkward, unique style nobody else has. The speed, footwork, power, angles, all of those factors have always intimidated all of his opponents. Rios didn’t respect that and got caught and got hurt during some parts of the fight. he’s lucky he had put on the extra weight or he probably wouldn’t be on his feet at the end of the 12th considering Pacquaio really broke him down little by little and that was obvious after 6 rounds that Rios was affected and was fading. Right now? Pacquaio would come in as the underdog but it wouldn’t surprise me that he would have the patience and the perfect timing to land that straight left hand flush on Floyd’s chin. He’s a more complete, accomplished boxer right now, with better timing and defense. This is still Manny Pacquaio…

Hi Michael, in how many times you failed in your prediction and gambled your money in favor whoever against Manny Pacquioa? I’ve understand that we need an article like this to have some discussion. I’m a Pacman fan, but I respect Mayweather too. Pacman could outboxed Money and Money could outboxed Pacman too. At this point in time, Mayweather could only beat Pacman at Twitter level.

    • I cover my bets dude, I bet smart. I backed Algieri on points, and Manny on points too.

I like to do accumulator/parlay bets. Quite easy really. Just takes a bit of balls to put a large amount of money on when you know the fighter will not lose.
Like I said, you have to know for certain.

      • Raymond says:

That’s the problem. You are not even sure of what you are saying mr. Readman. As what you said you cover your bets. If you are sure about what you are talking about you make a bet on one fighter only. You if are really a boxing fan for 10 years as what you have said, you will study every angle of the fight. It is shallow to just have 1 advantage and compare it with others boxer disadvantage. Every boxer has its flaws. No boxer is perfect and you can’t tell me that Mayweather is a perfect boxer. We woud not know if pacquiao is his crytonite until they fight. Let’s just wait and see. If your sure about what you are saying and you can back it up why don’t you bet your readers that if pacquiao wins you will never write again and if mayweather we will believe in everything that you will say and somebody here already ask you to bet against him.

      • ROGS says:

So if Manny and Money will fight on June, whom you will gonna bet to cover your ass? You must be smart in your response as this will backfire you 6 months from now , Today is Nov 25, 2014 , 11:11 PM (Singapore Time) and it will screen capture to recall in the future.

it’s funny and i’m not trying to be cocky or anything but i had an argument on facebook with some guys who thought Algieri would outbox Pacquaio and i laughed at them and told them that Pacquaio will take away Algieri’s jab with no problem. I knew what Pacquaio was planning to do but it’s wrong to share such information with anybody but yourself. I knew what Pacquaio’s plan was and it was the same as what i predicted would be the best thing for him to do, Roach also knows it. ALgieri has a good jab but due to his length and size i knew that Manny would easily take it away from him. He did it immediately making a statement landing a big left hand which caught Algieri’s attention.

The next step was to close the distance, Pacquaio definitely wanted to be on his toes for this fight as he knew Algieri has quick legs and would go backwards all night long after tasting his power. Which is exactly what he did. Manny closed the distance and Chris got confused by the angles and Manny’s footwork. After that all Manny had to do was position himself comfortably and with ease to outland Algieri all night long which he did. Pacquaio has nothing left to prove but made a statement last night by proving that he can beat a guy who loves to go backwards. Marquez will always be a difficult fight for him and that’s because Pacquaio doesn’t know what to really do comfortably against the backward robotic motion that Marquez gives him.

Floyd doesn’t move that way. Manny can deal better with runners now then he did before. You can tell they really worked on that, cutting the ring off. Manny still gets lazy and follows guys around at times when he gets too comfortable but otherwise he can cut the ring off quite well if he stays focussed and doesn’t get bored. And that’s the whole thing with Manny, if he gets bored, he will reduce his output and thorw arm punches and chase the guy by following him around. it’s his bad habbit and i hope he does change it lol.

  46. D3zstroyer says:

By the way Michael, do not conceive your posts to be floyd nuthugging articles and everybody who posts here wouldn’t call you that or recognize you as one. If you are neutral and like both guys, AND know your boxing you would say the exact opposite. After this performance you should have your doubts if Mayweather has what it takes to deal with a smarter, more patient, still powerful and fast Pacquaio who can stay on his toes and doesn’t let you out of his sights. He continually puts on the pressure but stays at medium-close range, not hugging range where the shots would have no effect.

And he made a huge statement in this fight. I don’t care what people think of Algieri, the dude has heart, even though he lacks the power and the experience and the class at this level of the sport, the dude can box and obviously knows how to survive or Pacquaio would have knocked him out. 4 legit knockdowns are impressive on their own. Knockouts aren’t needed to make a fight fan friendly; or casually friendly to the casual fans eyes.

  47. dan says:

.fighter who never face pacquiao is saying they can beat pacquiao, but on top of the ring they realize the truth . ask. bradley, mosely and all other boxers who come to fight Pacman. The latest is Algeiri who come to reality of what is really pacman is on top of the ring. Only mayweather see it Thats why he is been ducking Pacman.

  48. ROGS says:

Pacman fought a boxer (not a pipe fitter) much younger, taller and long reach . And if he’s power is gone (as this author thinks, anyway I respect his opinion being Mayweather fan), so why Did he win the fight? Simple mathematics, isn’t it?. During his last fight with JMM, Pacquioa power was still there (He clearly won in the scorecards before KO), what he was lacking that time is the TACTICS. Now that was a lesson learnt, Pacman now is more dangerous after beaten by JMM. He combined the power and art of TACTICS (being cautious and protect himself at all times) and it was proven during their 3 previous fights, and that’s boxing is all about.

  49. D3zstroyer says:

Honest guys will admit that Pacquaio has power in both hands but i believe Algieri was overwhelmed and shy, he said “it wasn’t so much the power”. The exact moment he uttered those words i knew he was lying. He was being honest for the most part but not about his speed and power. Because on the video we can see how both those factors affected Algieri and made him realize that Pacquaio really is something else. Even Bradley, a very tough and good boxer acknowlegded that and even said that Pacquaio has power and you can’t allow him to land flurries or you will get dazed and hurt by them. That’s pacquaio’s power in a nutshell, they sting, they aren’t thudding but they are stinging shots and very quick as well. That’s the definition of Manny Pacquaio’s punches. Yes they do hurt. They aren’t one punch knockout hands except for the left straight but they really hurt. And if he lands too many he will break you down little by little and by the middle rounds he has broken you down enough to just lay back and box a bit with you.

  50. Michael, do you really mean that Pacquiao will surely loss to FMJ? if that is so, please encourage FMJ to fight Pacquiao. THAT’S ALL MICHAEL, PLS.

  51. D3zstroyer says:

Floyd will be asking for a rematch clausule, nothing has been said yet but i know he will demand for one. I know Floyd. He will want a rematch clausule unlike before because he knows, Manny will be the biggest threat of his career. That alone will prove that he’s actually scared. I’m just waiting for it to be announced officially anytime. 🙂

  52. chadmarou says:

the thick gloves survive mayweather in round 3.

  53. Gorop says:

So much for the talking… LET’S GET IT ON!!!!!!!!!!

  54. D3zstroyer says:

Come on now, Floyd is a great counter puncher, the best in the sport of boxing right now but that doesn’t mean Manny has little chance. Floyd’s the best at what he does and Manny is the best at what he does himself. Coming forward and dominating guys any way he can. Floyd doesn’t try to dominate his opponents, he tries to potshot, score and move away so he doesn’t get it, which is the cream of the crop. VERY SMART. BUT…

Pacquaio is nothing like any opponent he has ever faced before. We are talking about Manny Pacquaio here, not about the next Marcos Maidana with limited skills. We are talking about the eight time world champion who took his losses like a man and learned from them. Being undefeated doesn’t mean you’re the better fighter. For from it. it just means that you know defence pretty well and that you have been lucky so far.

Mosley caught and hurt him. Castillo outboxed him in the first fight and WON the fight, yes, Floyd lost that fight, just not on paper. See where i’m coming from talking about luck? And that’s really a tainted decision loss for Castillo and one hell of a lucky night for Floyd’s unbeaten record. Because that night he was a beaten man but got the nod from the judges, Castillo got robbed and Mayweather was never supposed to be undefeated now anyway.

But it doesn’t matter what’s marked on the paper, all the people already know that he lost that first match with Castillo, coming back to win it which i give him respect for of course. But don’t rely on the fact that Mayweather is undefeated, which gives him that much more chance to be victorious against Pacquaio. Look at both their styles and see the big picture in front of you. If Floyd fights Manny, he already knows he will get tagged in that fight should it happen. There’s no way in hell that you can avoid all of Pacquaio’s power punches.

  55. D3zstroyer says:

But since i am giving honest views and a good read for the people around here, you are very reluctant in replying back so it seems since the first time because you know i’m not just another biased bs fan who disrespects anybody, i don’t. I disrespect Mayweather’s lifestyle, yes. But i respect him very much for the boxer he is, but truth be told. He isn’t that great as people suggest he is. He’s just very good at what “he” does. Which is his natural talent to potshot and move out of the way. Floyd only counters well on the backfoot and can’t come forward against guys who have good feet. Manny can do either. He’s not a great counterpuncher but he can counter you just as good as he can hit you when he’s coming forward or moving towards different angles. Those are the traits that are in Pacquaio’s favor big time. Mayweather will need to be on his toes should these 2 guys fight because trust me, the philly shell won’t protect him from Pacquaio’s assault, or at least in a minimal fashion but peace out and remember what i said earlier. Show both guys respect, write as a respected author and you will get respect back from the fans and people around the world.

    Look at this line;

How can this version of Manny Pacquiao test the chin of Floyd Mayweather, with his diminished power? I just don’t see it. Manny Pacquiao can’t and never could outbox Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Those were your words written in that article, yet at a later stage you tell the followers here that Pac does have a chance? What changed your mind about that? Because if Pacquaio can’t box Floyd at all then indeed, you would be right, he would have no chance. But you said the exact opposite 10 minutes ago replying to another guy’s post. But you are ignoring me because you know i know boxing and you very well know what i’m talking about. But peace out, i hope you enjoyed my point of view.

  61. Edsel Mykonos says:

To Floyd “believers”: Instead of defending him in vain, why not just do your best convincing your boy to come to grips with his unfounded fear? You cannot gauge a boxer just by looking at him superficially. Dig deep down and you’ll be in a better position to see the real stuff. A soldier who loses courage loses all battles though he may win some. Like it or not, Manny Pacquiao serves to be the ultimate measuring stick for the pampered, extremely flattered “champion.”

To make the story short, Mayweather is a bothered man. He could not accept the painful truth that Pacquiao is a better man than him. He might beat Pacquiao, should he gain enough courage to push their much-awaited battle. But after all the low-blows and mockery he has exhibited, he just proved himself as an unworthy champion.

Fights only take place inside the ring. If you’re gonna talk trash and duck, be willing to take the heat when some fans say you’re avoiding legitimate threats to your oh-so-precious record.

A Lot of these FRAUD fans always say hit and don’t get hit. no wonder MMA is more popular. we don’t want runners…. we want boxers/ punchers meaning fighters… Fraud would never win in a street fight.
Fraud supporters will say it’s sweet science. but really people want to see fighters when they watch boxing …

Pac Vs Fraud. Pac the destroyer wins because he is throwing more and being the aggressor.. Defense does not win fights.. Pac throw 80 – 100 per round and says connect 20-30%. Fraud throw 30-40 per round and comment 30-40%. Who winss??

Pacman of course.. it’s always harder for the aggressor trying to make a fight than just wait and counter punch.. Look at their common opponents how Pacman won is convincing, exciting and way better than Frauds win on points.. Knock out of Hatton was simply a counter.. Pac destroys opponents. he is an all time great.. Fraud is just a hall of famer..

  68. jecko says:

WTF!!!….Dumbass its not the one punch knockout that will kill floyd but the volume of punches that will make him fuckin kneel and beg manny to stop….stupidass….

  69. Ed says:

Fraud is a chicken counter puncher.. have you seen him fight bigger guys.. guys who have the physical advantage – height, arm length., weight??. for Fraud to equal what Pacman has done, he has to dominate the super middleweight (his eight division).. i don’t think so..!!

Pacman an all time great!! all time greats are aggressors : hearns, hagler, duran, etc..

  70. Varona Das says:

I am excited to watch the fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather. Both are good fighter but I am going to give my cheers to Manny Pacquiao regardless he will be defeated or not. For me, Manny has value added or more to offer aside from boxing compare to Mayweather who is limited only to what he wants to do.

  71. Francis M says:

All of these comments about Pacquiao not being able to K.O. his opponents, the way he did back 2009, twas all because these new challengers are too cautious to be knocked like with his earlier fights. Everyone knew now, in able to survive Pacquiao is to hit and run and hope for the best. Pacquiao also matured as a fighter, avoiding to make mistake like in his fight with Marquez.

  72. SAN JOSE says:

Another one of your predictions?…It is clear your brains been scrambled from eating too much CROW.

  73. It’s not about power, Pac is more than just power punches, he has enough offensive skills to give Floyd problems inside the ring. The author thinks too little of Pac, he thinks Pac will need a sure KO to win against Floyd. In reality they are both very skilled and it will surely go the distance and until they actually fight, we don’t know who is truly the better boxer. I can say this for sure though, Floyd doesn’t want to fight Manny.

Listen, these guys get paid for doing this crap. I just find it amzing how they keep sticking to their story or when you turn them inside out, ignore everything you just said. Very well knowing you were telling the truth.

He predicted that Algieri would outbox Pacquaio? Come one now. If you know Manny very well, we all knew that wouldn’t happen in a lifetime. I was smart enough to predict that he would use the straight left as a counter to his jab and it immediately got Chris’s attention.

From that point on the fight already changed into Manny’s favor. Don’t believe the made up, so called “Algieri Show Game Plan” Please… That whole story is just bogus. Tim Lane telling Chirs he was comfortably winning? Come on, neither Tim Lane nor Chris Algieri could have believed that.

Algieri already knew the fight was lost after the first 30 seconds of the first round. He just tried to survive from that point on and that’s exactly what he barely managed to do. It’s funny though how Tim Lane got contradicted while he was talking about Algieri knocking out Manny Pacquaio. What followed was just fantastic lol.

Despite that there was no knockout while there could have been one… It felt like Manny made history again, even though his opponent was unexperienced.

Come on Floyd, show some balls. I’ve just read an article where his own son Koraun calls his father a coward. Read on here: http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/573535/20141121/floyd-mayweather-son-koraun-domestic-abuse.htm

Well now his own son thinks of him as a coward then what should we believe, lol? Trust me, he is. He knows that Pacquaio has TREMENDOUS heart. It scares him to death.

    MICHAEL!

You have done a great job of getting responses so if that was the plan, I give you credit for that. Smart move, you write some outlandish comments and bingo, you’ve got half the boxing world mad at you and commenting on your site.

With that said (I’m not above falling into your trap), Canelo isn’t Pacquiao! Slow, too inexperienced when he fought Mayweather, poor footwork, come on dude, this is a terrible comparison for a boxing expert.

PacMan doesn’t have to worry about a loss. He will try and overwhelm Mayweather and will throw a ton more punches (look at the stats – man). PacMan can afford to be reckless where Mayweather can’t. Mayweather accurate, yes, has great defense, yes, but PacMan has footwork, power, tenacity and energy at the level that Mayweather hasn’t seen (or at least in a long time). We know Manny will throw and take chances and do everything he can to get to Mayweather. He could get caught like he did with Marquez, but he is going to land a lot of shots on Floyd’s face and we have seen that Floyd’s defense/footwork isn’t what it was.

Pacquiao will throw tons more, will land some, Floyd may get him with a counter and end the fight, but Pacquiao will land and Floyd’s face will be a mess (heck they might both be). But commenting that Floyd will make Pacman’s face a mess is a joke as everyone knows that Floyd will be lucky to come out on top and either way will take some big shots along the way. It will be hard for PacMan to get past Floyd’s defense no question. But with Mayweather’s lack of power now, he is the one that has to worry. He won’t throw as many punches as Manny, unless he catches Manny with a big counter, I don’t see how Mayweather wins (and neither does Mayweather and there in lies his reluctance to fight PacMan).

Next time you want to create a massive number of responses and infuriate a group of fight fans, don’t be so obvious about it. : )
