Did Marcos Maidana knock Floyd Mayweather’s tooth out?

Last weekend Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Marcos Maidana squared off for the second time in six months, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I predicted that ‘Money’ Mayweather would win via unanimous decision victory on the scorecards. The judges didn’t have it as wide as I had thought, but still, the outcome was what I expected to come to fruition.

Now, what I did not expect to happen, was what I saw with my own two eyes at the end of round 3 in the Floyd Mayweather corner.

I was sitting watching the fight with a friend, and about a minute into round 1, I said to my friend “I can honestly see Mayweather getting tagged with something big any time soon before he adjusts to Maidana’a attack.” A few minutes later, BANG!

Mayweather used his pull counter, as he usually does so effortlessly and avoided the Maidana jab, then went to fire a right hand over the top of the Maidana jab. Maidana in turn had anticipated the right hand and he ducked under the right hand of Mayweather and ‘El Chino’ fired a looping overhand right of his own. The shot landed flush on the left hand portion of the pound for pound kingpin’s jaw.

What wasn’t apparent at first became more and more clear after the fight, when slow motion replays and a certain picture came to the fore.

A small, very white, very bright white item, appeared to leave the mouth of Mayweather.
Now, this could be spit, yes, I realize that. When spit leaves the mouth, it changes shape as it traverses through the air. This item I will call a tooth, certainly had no other movement except the direction it was traveling in.

You clearly see the ‘Tooth’ leave Floyd’s mouth and rise over his shoulder and slightly pop over the top rope before disappearing out of sight. Also note that as Mayweather staggers backwards, he seems to look down as if thinking to himself “Did he just knock my tooth out?” Keep an eye out for that.

Kenny Bayless called the end of the round and he shouts “Time!” right as the contact is made on Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather has conducted an interview with Fight Hype and refuted the claims that he lost a tooth against Maidana. I’ll be honest, I would deny all claims too. I would be embarrassed to have that happen. This is why I believe Floyd has denied this rumor.
He is embarrassed, plain and simple.

Did any of you guys spot this? Or have you seen the video doing the rounds (no pun intended) on the internet. Did you spot it? I’m sure he has a dentist as good as Dentist Middletown to fix it for him!

If the truth does not come out about this situation, many people will talk it up for years to come and hold Marcos ‘El Chino’ Maidana in some kind of legend status for knocking out Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather’s tooth.

  1. If he did get his tooth knocked out he deserves it the loudmouth SOB .

I would truely love to see Pacquiao drill him 10 or 12 times just like that and maybe bust up his face like he did to Margarito !
