“On The Ropes” Boxing Radio is back this week with host Jenna J to cover all the recent fights and news going on in boxing. In this episode I will discuss Juan Manuel Marquez’ victory over Mike Alvarado this past Saturday on HBO Boxing. The forty year old Marquez put on one of the best displays of his career and he outclassed the larger Alvarado over 12 rounds to set himself up as the mandatory challenger for the WBO welterweight title currently held by Manny Pacquiao. I will be talking about the future of Juan Manuel Marquez as well as the suspicions that some fans have regarding his performance level at his age.

Also on the show I will be previewing the upcoming Friday Night Fights Boxino finals which are set to take place this Friday on ESPN. Lastly, I will be talking about the upcoming SHOWTIME event which will feature the return of WBC light heavyweight champion, Adonis Stevenson as he fights Andrzej Fonfara, as well as a middleweight fight between David Lemieux and Fernando Guerrero. 1. I knew in the 3rd bout of marquez vs pacquiao , marquez is usingd steroids and that is so true , they should test before the fight alvarado vs marquez

  1. The heat is on,regarding Marquez’s questionable speed, power and acne. Nacho wants Marquez out of the picture for the moment, I guess it’s provodnikov and pacman. Just a few months ago Marquez’s wants nothing else but a fifth belt, now they’re singing a different tune, the acne gave them away, while mayweather sr admitted that Floyd won’t fight pacman till he gets marcianos record, he’s cherry picking his way to it, now we know he won’t take the risk in fighting pacman, can’t face his fear. Pacman knows!

    1. I dunno which is worse the Gayweather Hood Rats or the Nacho Juicing Wetbacks !

Only honor in boxing these days seems to be Filipino !

It people like the Mayweathers that make it disgracefull to be an American .

  2. Floyd Mayweather says:

Man them pactards be some real retarded m?#$ S756.

    Eli Wallach says:

If you shoot, shoot. Don’ talk.
