“On The Ropes” Boxing Radio returns this week with host Jenna J to talk about all the latest news and stories in the sport of boxing. In this episode, I will be discussing big Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao announcement. After weeks of talks, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao finally signed for a May 2nd bout that will take place at the MGM grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. I will be giving my views on what this fight happening means for the sport of boxing and give my early prediction for the bout. I also will be talking about the fight taking place now, compared to 5 years ago and if we will end up seeing Mayweather and Pacquiao fighting more than one time. The first guest this week is highly regarded trainer, Abel Sanchez. Sanchez recently trained Gennady Golovkin to a dominate win over middleweight contender Martin Murray. Abel talks about the fight and how he rates Golovkin’s performance. Sanchez also speaks about the future of Golovkin and who he thinks will be willing to step up next. Additionally Sanchez breaks down a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao, and also talks about a Mayweather-Golovkin fight.

The second guest this week is light welterweight contender, Ruslan Provodnikov. Coming off of a one sided victory over Luis Collazo, Ruslan now has a big upcoming fight set for April 18th against long time contender Lucas Matthysse. Provodnikov spoke on what this fight means to his career and if he thinks a title shot will follow with a win. Additionally, Ruslan shared his views on the super fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.

The main guest on this weeks edition of “On The Ropes” is world renowned boxing trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr. Senior makes his thirty third appearance to the show and talks about his son’s upcoming fight with Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. Mayweather spoke about how he plans to go about fighting Pacquiao and what this fight means to his sons legacy. Floyd also talked about his son possibly scoring a knockout and what he thinks the future holds for his son after the fight.

  1. Mayweather Camp could say whatever they want as long as there is still time left. On fight night it will become different. If they think Pacquiao is an easy opponent they have to discern twice because there is no turning back for Floyd Jr. I just hope Mayweathet Jr. will give a good fight and will not ride his bicycle atop the ring. Let’s get it on! Floyd Jr. knocking out Pacquiao? Nah! this assessment is hilarious!

  2. I really like Abel he is a cool dude and the right guy for GGG. I also got to agree with Jenna that if the fight is close that it will go to Pacman

    1. its in vagas floyds backyard.. no way manny gets the decision. thats the whole reason there fighting there.

      1. think again, if Paquiao wins there will be a rematch and more money to be made off these two and then the possibility of a rubber match Las vegas is dying a death they need the big fights. The world knows if Mayweather wins a close fight the rematch simply wont happen
