“On The Ropes” Boxing Radio returns this week with host Jenna J to discuss all the latest fights and fight news going on in the sport. In this installment of the show, I will be recapping Saturday night’s HBO boxing event in which WBO light welterweight champ, Terence Crawford dispatched of tough Canadian boxer, Dierry Jean. I will be discussing Crawford’s performance as well as the possibility of him facing Manny Pacquiao next, in what could be the last time Pacquiao graces the boxing ring. I will also be discussing the recent reports suggesting that Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather are in talks to set up a potential rematch of their May 2nd encounter. Lastly, I will breakdown the upcoming Brandon Rios-Timothy Bradley clash set for November 7th. Just click on the audio player to listen to the show!

Guests

The first guest on this week’s show is trainer Abel Sanchez. Sanchez runs The Summit gym in Big Bear, California, where he trains the likes of Sullivan Barrera and IBO middleweight champion, Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin. Abel discusses Golovkin’s recent pay-per-view debut in which he stopped David Lemieux in eight rounds. In addition, Sanchez talks about the future of Gennady Golovkin and the likelihood of ‘GGG’ taking on the winner of the Cotto-Alvarez bout.

The second guest is long time boxing commentator, Steve Farhood, who is known primarily for his work with Showtime boxing telecasts. Farhood comes on the show and talks about the recent ShowBox event, as well as the futures of boxing’s biggest stars, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Steve also shares his thoughts on Gennady Golovkin’s recent performance and the upcoming Miguel Cotto-Saul Alvarez clash. Lastly, Farhood speaks on a potential clash between Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter later this year.

The final guest is none other than reigning WBO light welterweight champion, Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford, who talks about his recent title fight in Omaha, Nebraska. Terence speaks about his performance against Dierry Jean and the probability of that match being the catalyst for a showdown with Manny ‘Pac-Man’ Pacquiao. Finally, Terence Crawford shares his views on Floyd Mayweather and where he ranks amongst the greats in the sport.

    • Kurt says:

They think that coz pac lost to mayweather then everybody can beat pac now??? Hahaha crawford will get knock the fuck out by pac bet on it!!

      • Well now... says:

Actually, that’s not at all what he said. He said that Crawford needs to earn his figgt against Pac. Look, I’m a Pacman fan and all, but seriously chill with blind, butthurt defensiveness. It makes us look bad.

  2. Kurt says:

Mayweather won because he basically just jab ,run , hug! Crawford doesnt have the reflexes that floyd has to avoid pacs punches! His only chance is if he will land a lucky punch like marquez did.

rebelgb, take a breath and stop overreacting like a whiny spoiled child. Matthews has been a beast throughout the duration of his carreer and has missed maybe a few games due to the hamstring. It happens, especially when you see how much matthews gives on each and every play. Shut up and enjoy.

  8. Hi Lisa,Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I know when it comes to bedtime I want answers NOW! Have you still been having the same problem? For the water, giving him a drink before lights out would be easiest. If it’s always he hears a sound you could ask him to be a detective and figure out what the noise was. Reporting to you in the morning instead of after bedtime. I hope this helps… I really hope you already had it worked out and are enjoying some lovely adult time!

Can one dismiss them as glorified stoner notebook doodling, or does that capital “A” in “Art” (or, even better, David’s all-cap “ART”) effectively ward off all criticisms?

  10. I have not checked in here for some time since I thought it was getting boring, but the last several posts are great quality so I guess I’ll add you back to my daily bloglist. You deserve it my friend
