“On The Ropes” Boxing Radio returns once again this week with host Jenna J to cover all the hottest news in the sport of boxing. In this episode I will talk about the HBO event that took place this past Saturday night, in which IBO/WBA champ, Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin successfully defended his titles by dispatching of Daniel Geale in just three rounds. The victory is the biggest and most impressive of Golovkin’s career and as a result, he is now being talked about as one of the best fighters in the sport. I will discuss the significance of the fight for the middleweight division and also talk about the future of ‘GGG’ going forward.

Also on the show, I will be covering the co-main event of the HBO card, in which heavyweight Bryant Jennings scored a solid win over Cuban Olympian, Mike Perez. With the win, Jennings is now one of the top American heavyweights and is inching closer to a title fight. Lastly, I will be previewing this Saturday night’s HBO double header event in which Sergey Kovalev will defend his light heavyweight crown against the unbeaten Blake Caparello. I will also cover the Brandon Rios-Diego Chaves match which has the potential to be one of the fights of the year. Just click on the audio player to listen to the show!
