“On the Ropes” Boxing Radio returns on this historic fight week with host Jenna J to break down all the latest fights and fight news in boxing. In this episode, I will be recapping this past weekends HBO World Championship boxing card, which featured the world recognized heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko taking on undefeated American contender, Bryant ‘By By’ Jennings. Klitschko returned to the United States to fight for the first time in seven years and had what many people believe was his stiffest test since he became a champion.

I will also be previewing the super fight that boxing fans have waited over five years to finally see happen, Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao. I will speak aboutd the road to this fight, and discuss each fighter’s last few ring performances. I will also be giving my thoughts on each fighter’s strengths, and discuss who I believe is the better fighter. Lastly I will give my official prediction for May 2nd, talking about who will win this fight, how they will win it and why. Just click on the audio player to listen to the show!

Making his debut appearance to “On The Ropes” is welterweight contender, Said El Harrak. El Harrak is going to be fighting on the undercard of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao and will be taking on undefeated welterweight contender, Christopher Pearson. Said talks about the opportunity to fight on this historic card and what he thinks of his opponent. Said will also be talking about his career and what he thinks of constantly playing the role of the underdog. Additionally, El Harrak gives his thoughts on Mayweather-Pacquiao, his prediction for the fight, and discusses which fighter he believes is more likely to score a knockout.

The main guest is world renowned boxing commentator and former two division world champion, Paulie Malignaggi. Malignaggi recently worked the corner of Sadam Ali, and talks about that performance and also what he thought of Klitschko vs. Jennings. Paulie also talked about his recent decision to come back to the ring for a  May 29th fight with Danny O’Conner and what he hopes to achieve in the final run of his career. Finally ‘The Magic Man’ also gives his thoughts on Mayweather vs. Pacquiao and who he is ultimately picking to win it.

  9. We’re just getting into another round of succ plnng, and I am completely stealing this tagline, “sonny got whacked…” and all to explain what we DON’T want to do. I have my own words for conveying “the right way” Thanks very much, Comrade Conrad. In addition to being helpful to a colleague, this made me laugh out loud just now. “Sonny got whacked…”…solid!
